The house itself has been tracked back to 1830 by the local historical society. Members of three different local families have said that there is a date on the building, which states the date 1760. This date was covered up in 1962 - 63, when a pre-fabricated concreated building was attached onto the side of the front of the house and that date should still be there. It has 1.2 acres of land, with the possible option to buy 2 more acres. |

At the front of the house is a large Vegetable Garden. There is room to put a greenhouse. Also there are young Pear, Apple, Plum and Cherry trees scattered around the land, as well as lots of blackberry bushes. On the left of the property is a culvert, which goes almost to the front of the house, this goes underneath the cave to the rear of the house, where there used to be a large water-driven wheel. This was because the house was originally built as a mill for the manufacture of cotton and wool products. To see where this wheel used to sit can be accessed via the rear of the property and also makes a home for local bats and swallows. |

The cave is to the side of the kitchen and could be made into an extension. Further to the right of the Kitchen door, is a 1960’s pre-fabricated concrete building, which was once used as a Bedroom, Kitchenette and Toilet to house a single Itinerant worker. This building could easily be removed and dismantled by one of the neighbours. Also, there are currently 2 barns. The larger barn is being used as a workshop and can easily be converted into a Garage. The smaller barn is also being used as a workshop. At the side of the small Barn is a smaller building, which at the moment is used as a wood store. |
